Commitment to innovation and customer success drives organizational shift toward risk-based network security to contain modern cyberattacks
SAN JOSE, Calif. – August 2, 2024 – Elisity, the pioneer in identity-based microsegmentation, today announced significant growth and momentum for the first half of 2024. The company’s commitment to innovation, customer success and building the next-generation CISO community is driving major market adoption in enterprises globally and an organizational shift in how security and network teams can unite to achieve a risk-based approach to protecting their organizations from modern-day cyberattacks.
Elisity also announced the appointment of cybersecurity industry leader Sabrina Sirianni as VP of Business Development with the mission to foster trusted communities of CISOs, as they evolve their roles to take on more operational responsibility for infrastructure and seek peer networking and strategic development opportunities.
Following on the company’s recent $37M Series B funding from leading cybersecurity investor Insight Partners, major milestones include:
Microsegmentation is a critical component of zero-trust architectures and a crucial defense strategy against modern threats and ransomware. Traditional safeguards like firewalls and antivirus software struggle to keep up with the expanding network perimeter and create vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit to gain a foothold and move laterally within enterprise networks. Microsegmentation contains and limits the blast radius of this lateral movement, significantly reducing the attack surface and mitigating the risk and impact of cyberattacks.
CISA has called out microsegmentation as a key action toward cyber resilience for healthcare companies and for defending against critical infrastructure threats like Volt Typhoon. Electric utilities will soon be required to implement microsegementation for the upcoming NERC CIP Standard for Internal Network Security Monitoring.
“This momentum demonstrates our vision to provide every user, device, and workload and cross every network with a Zero Trust architecture that accelerates the transition to explicit identity-based access policies aligned with business objectives,” said James Winebrenner, CEO of Elisity. “We are thrilled to add Sabrina to the team and help us build on our customer-centric mission.”
Sirianni joins Elisity from iboss, where she served as Vice President of Corporate Development, overseeing Global Sales Initiatives and acting as Ambassador of the iboss advisory board. She has held multiple leadership roles at industry leaders including McAfee and Enterprise Network Solutions and serves on several advisory boards and nonprofits.
“I continually seek to understand the challenges that customers face and bring the community together to solve the big problems,” said Sirianni. “I firmly believe that putting people first and having empathy is the best way to improve performance and provide consistent success and growth. Elisity is in a unique position to address one the biggest challenges in network security and I am thrilled to join a team that is not only pushing for innovation but also committed to empowering organizations with cutting-edge solutions that work.”

About Elisity
Elisity is a leap forward in network segmentation architecture and is leading the enterprise effort to achieve Zero Trust maturity, proactively prevent security risks, and reduce network complexity. Designed to be implemented in days, without downtime during implementation, the platform rapidly discovers every device on an enterprise network and correlates comprehensive device insights into the Elisity IdentityGraph™. This empowers teams with the context needed to automate classification and apply dynamic security policies to any device wherever and whenever it appears on the network. These granular, identity-based security policies are managed in the cloud and enforced across enterprise environments in real-time, even on ephemeral IT/IoT/OT devices, using your existing network switching infrastructure. Founded in 2019, Elisity has a global employee footprint and a growing number of customers in the Fortune 500.
