Elisity Releases Version 14.6
by Dana Yanch on Jan 9, 2023 5:51:29 PM
We are excited to announce the latest release of Elisity Cloud Control Center, which includes a range of updates and improvements based on customer feedback. From optimizing the user interface to adding advanced functionality, this release offers some new features that we think you’ll love.
Design and User Experience Updates
One of the main focuses of this release is on the user interface (UI). We have undertaken a comprehensive effort to optimize every aspect of the UI, taking into account customer feedback and suggestions. This includes updates to the design and layout of menus, buttons, and onboarding workflows, as well as improvements to the color palettes, fonts, and naming schema. Additionally, we have added more advanced functionality for filtering, data export, visibility, and reporting; all of it focused on increasing usability while maintaining simplicity. These changes will be rolled out gradually over the next several releases, so keep an eye out for updates and be sure to let us know what you think.
Introducing Site Labels: A Powerful New Tool
Perhaps the most exciting new features in this release is the ability to use Site Labels to add context and hierarchy to visibility functions. With this feature, you can tie Virtual Edges and Virtual Edge Nodes to user-defined site labels, which can then be used to filter and view analytics collected by the Elisity platform.
- Here’s a summary of what you can do with Site Labels:
- Assign labels to Virtual Edges and Virtual Edge Nodes to define their location and purpose
- Use these labels to filter and view analytics, adding context and removing unrelated data
Look forward to future releases, where Site Labels will be used in context-aware policy distribution, allowing you to define policies based on location, site type, business unit, or any other criteria you choose
This is just the beginning of what Site Labels will be able to do, and we can’t wait to see how our customers will use this powerful new tool.
Assign Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Groups for Enhanced Security
In this release, we are excited to announce that we now support Single Sign On (SSO) for accessing the Elisity Cloud Control Center UI. Using OID-based SSO, you can leverage providers such as Okta, PING, and Azure to sign into the Cloud Control Center and assign different Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) groups to your Elisity platform administrators.
Here’s a summary of what you can do with SSO support:
- Use OID-based SSO to easily access the Cloud Control Center
- Assign RBAC groups to your Elisity platform administrators, giving different permissions such as read-only or read-write access
This new feature makes it even easier to manage access and permissions within your organization, and we hope it will be a welcome addition to the platform.
Now Supporting Catalyst 9500 Series Switches
We have an exciting update on our virtual edge node support. As a reminder, a Virtual Edge Node is any access switch in your network that you onboard into Elisity for policy enforcement at the edge. We already support the most commonly deployed Catalyst 9000, 3000 and Industrial Edge series switches, and now we are happy to announce that we have extended full support to the Catalyst 9500 series switch as well. This means that if you have 9500 series switches at the edge of your network, you can easily enable Elisity identity-based microsegmentation through least privilege access policies in a matter of minutes. We hope this added support will make it even easier for you to use our product to secure your network.
That’s it for this release. A lot more coming very soon, stay tuned!
